About

Hey there!

My name is Matt Mazur and this is my personal blog where I write about projects that I’m working on and things I learn along the way.

Here are a few of my popular posts from over the years:

I’m currently working full time on Preceden, a timeline maker tool, and Emergent Mind, an AI research aggregator. Prior to this I was was the data lead at Help Scout and before that I was an engineer at Automattic.

I live in Cary, North Carolina with my wife and four kids.

I’ve built a a lot of software products over the years including Lean Domain Search, a domain name generator (acquired by Automattic) that I started as a side project while deployed to Iraq.

Prior to working in software and data, I spent over nine years in the US Air Force. I attended the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs during which time I also interned with the National Security Agency’s Red Team. I later served as a communications and executive officer at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey, a project manager for the Air Operations Center program at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts, and the director of communications for Air Force Special Operations in Iraq.

I love meeting new folks so feel free to drop me a note at anytime.
