No one had mentioned the limited left/right scrolling, but that makes a lot of sense. The zooming is going to get a makeover shortly--I'm going to add more levels going out to billions of years and it would be too cluttered with text labels, so some sort of Google-maps style control will likely be used. I'll see what I can about using the mouse wheel to activate it. Blog widget: definitely, down the line. Just want to make sure I have the kinks worked out first.
